Linden is located 3 miles west of Fenton and US 23. It is a quaint small town but also has shopping areas. There are antique shops, grocery store, restaurants and a gas station in town. There is a county park located on Byram Lake with a swimming beach and picnic area. This very scenic and historic town features an old mill, (referred to as Linden Mills), complete with water wheel on Tupper Lake, created by a dam on its creek.

History of Linden This town was first established by Consider Warner and Eben Harris who built the sawmill here in 1840. It was incorporated as a village in 1871. It was named after the Linden tree, a sort of basswood tree that grew prominently in the area.

The City of Linden is located in Genesee County, approximately 15 miles south of Flint and 60 miles northwest of Detroit, Michigan. Exit 79, Silver Lake Road, of highway US 23 is three miles to the east of the city. City Hall is located at the corner of E. Broad Street and Main Street.
